Selinda Explorer in the Selinda Reserve has been set up a walking only safari camp – this luxurious and romantic camp has to be taken exclusively and although you will be driven in you will then walk and take canoe safaris to your hearts content, never once hearing the purr of an engine.
2 Duma Tau
This lovely little eco friendly property has a very light carbon footprint and offers guests wonderful bush walks from the lodge which can be tailored to suit you depending on your fitness and what you’d like to see. These kind of walking safaris are often a pre-curser for clients becoming very keen on walking, and wanting to go back to Africa solely to walk.
3 San Camp
San Camp is perhaps one of Africa’s most unique camps and walking safaris here are all about the little things – this exquisite camp is Moroccan in style and you have access to the vast Makgadikgadi Salt Pans which you can walk across with the ancient San bushmen – marveling as they show you tracks and medicinal uses for plants.
4 Motswiri Walking Camp
Motswiri is also based in the vast Selinda Reserve but walking safaris here do not have to be booked on exclusive use. This luxury and intimate camp also has horses so you can ride or walk, but the point is it’s exceptionally peaceful.
5 King’s Pool
King’s Pool is exceptionally luxurious and walking safaris with their expert and armed guards are a wonderful way to burn off the rich and delicious food you will have been eating there. This lodge comes with a price tag but is so magical we really think it’s 100% worth it.
