The Maldives is usually on everybody’s bucket list! We all dream of spending a week in luxury note room on stilts in the pristine sea that surrounds this magical island. I was fortunate enough to have a holiday with my girlfriend there recently, let me tell you that if it’s on your bucket list then you should definitely make it a reality whenever you get the chance!
I have been to many place since I started my travels, I would have to say that the Maldives definitely is right at the top of the list of my favourite places ever! From the moment you arrive everything just feels perfect, we had an amazing 5 day break there and it is on we will both never ever forget.

The never-ending luxury
If you love luxury then you will love the Maldives, it is designed to be one of the most luxurious places you will ever visit! It has everything from five star villas to some of the best restaurants you will ever eat in. Then of course if you’re looking for the ultimate in luxurious relaxation you can spend a day at one of the award winning spas. I was lucky enough to sat at the One & Only Reethi Rah which absolutely blew me away, they had everything we needed and more!
The best beaches ever
We’ve all been on a beach holiday where we hit the beach and find it difficult to find a spot to sunbathe and relax, you will never have this problem in the Maldives. The beaches here are so quiet and relaxing, what’s more is that you’ll never need to fight for a good spot because the beaches are so secluded and quiet. The white sand and stunning clear waters that are surrounded by palm trees will make you feel a million miles away from the hustle and bustle back home.
It’s romantic
I truly believe that this has to be the ultimate destination for couples looking for a romantic getaway. It ticks all the boxes for a romantic break; it’s secluded, luxurious, stunningly beautiful and it just keeps on impressing you day after day. My girlfriend and I have never been on such a great break as a couple!
